Who would have thought the US Army would yield its male dominance around the women of its service. A change long awaited!
It appears the US Army will be revising and releasing a new and improved female combat uniform by 2012. The improved 'for comfort' uniform will benefit 160,000 female troops and is designed to fit a woman’s curves. It is in no way a fashion statement, but more to remove bagginess of the current uniform for comfort and ease of wear.
Since women entered the military in 1775, one can only imagine that it will be an appreciated and welcomed change for women – a turning point of acceptance in the history of the US Army and a step in the right direction towards women’s equality.
