Inspiration

W
hatever ‘Inspires’ you to create is a very important event. Inspiration comes from many avenues and when it hits us, it’s usually with a Bang! We jump straight in and go for it.

Inspiration comes in many shapes and forms, whether it is about your life, your creativity, or your place in the world. I find I get ‘sidetracked’ very easily when it comes to handcrafts, or the computer and internet. For others it may be painting, pottery, interior decorating, sports, or writing. Where inspiration is concerned, grab it with both hands and go with it! You never know where it will lead until you follow the path and find out.

What ‘inspired’ me to start this magazine? No idea. I saw the name and ‘ding’ a light switched on and that was it – and I am running with it. No idea where it will end up, though hopefully, many women will have lots of fun participating in our pages, and if that eventuates then it will have succeeded in its aims.

When we are inspired many things happen all at once – we feel good, we are happy and relaxed, we can jump over any hurdles, we can move forward in our life, we can achieve our goals and aims and attain heights we had never dreamed of. It doesn’t matter what it is that inspired you, the person you were before that happened is not anymore, the person that ‘emerged’ is who is left.

A few women I have met over the years have said to me ‘I can’t do that!’ – Why not? If it’s something new, learn about it. If it’s a big move, work out what you want to do, how you are going to do it, and do it! If you have confidence and know you can achieve whatever it is you want to do, it will happen. There will be events, people, happenings which will occur to help you with your goal. If I had lay down and said ‘Ooo, I can’t do that, its way to hard’ then I certainly would not be here right now. If something looks overwhelming, break it down into manageable stages and you will still achieve your goal - And probably with astounding results.

Inspiration means concentrating your efforts on the subject you want to achieve and not worrying about yourself, or what people think of you. In that way, you will have the confidence, strength and vitality to see it through from beginning to end, or on-going, whichever it happens to be.

And at the end of the day, you will have learned something new, done something new, and achieved something you did not know you could. Enjoy the journey as well as the end result, then give yourself a pat on the back and say ‘Well done!’

inspiration-- I loved your article. And it helped me realize that sometimes an article is a story in your own words and thats something I was struggling with so that was why I was afraid to write my first article for this site. But like you said, sometimes you just have to do it. So that's what I am going to do. Thank you for your words that helped give me inspiration.

Inspiration-- Hi Pat. Thank you for reading Brandlady.com. Writing is an excellent way to keep things on track, and also an outlet for any negative thoughts. Once out on paper, the become harmless and one is usually able to work through the problem much easier. Linda Lycett. Editor in Chief
