The Sun Will Shine Through
T he clouds move quickly above my head as I drive slowly down the highway,The rain beats heavy on the windshield, Bags are packed… Not much more than worn down clothes and a pair of beat up Ed Hardy boots. My heart aches like I was about to take my last breath before drowning. There is pain of what is past and what is yet to come. My eyes are very tired…all I want to do is sleep. But sleep is long lost and will not be visited anytime soon by this restless heart, Therefore I have many miles to go before I find peace. In my once almost magical mind, there now lives darkness and demons, Not a place for the faint of heart to visit. Not that anyone would want to, the Owner is vacant most times. Then suddenly, through these clouds above me, I see the slightest ray of Sun trying to shine through. The sun, This light at the end of the very darkness of my tunnel is so very warm and wonderful. Like a crystal with so many different sides and facets, Dimensions that are all consuming, One single being so brilliant and amazing that it’s hard imagine them Being human. My dream within my dream…my ray of sun. My fate, my reality, and my best friend. You, my ray of light, must be very strong to break through those heavy Dark clouds. There will come a day that no cloud will ever be present in my sky, There will be no room in my life for clouds with such a wonderful ray of Sun in it. I love my sun, my light of hope. The light that shined through the clouds that allowed my heart to feel Again, Oh how grateful I am for that. In my rear view mirror all I see are clouds, dark and grey… On the horizon all I see is the sun, my wonderful ray of light. I believe I have found the true meaning of freedom… Freedom to be me and freedom to be happy once again.
